So, nine guys with a little spare time on their hands . . .
. . . met up Saturday at the regular meeting place of the under-the-radar gang for an impromptu get-together. We usually never share our experiences because we cherish our privacy. This time, though, there were so many outstanding examples on hand that we would be remiss not to. Names will not be mentioned; in the tradition of the State Department*, our mystery men will be known by their code letters.
Mr A was not present, but two of his Rolexes made an appearance, a '50s bubbleback . . .
. . . and a '60s root beer GMT.
My understanding is that Mr A happens to be the original owner of both, and has a few other interesting pieces in his collection. He does not participate on any watch forum, to the best of my knowledge.
* Mr X was the pseudonym of George F Kennan, diplomat and author of the seminal document outlining American foreign policy during the Cold War.

What a great way to spend Saturday morning. The Military SM300 is fantastic. Did you agree what Aliases you would have - <iframe width="560" height="315" src="/" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
The CK 2777 is on my wish list, on the top.
As for the RAF Seamaster 300, what can I say? A Watch I always loved, which has to be part of a military watches collection. Very nice! Best, Nicolas
It's funny, given my usual preference . . .
. . . for black, but the one I'm hoping to land would be a '56 white dial re-cased version, with no lume and blued hands. The Longines analog would be fine, too.
There was a call (at least to me) for issued Omegas....
Point of clarification: the Omega W.W.W. (aka, "Mark X") was delivered to the MoD in 1945, but not for the RAF. Rather, it was designed as a general service watch for the British Army. It was nice to g-t-g, as always!
