My point is that I’m not sure that the disgust lies with the brand itself. I’m also not denying that people avoid Rolex by the sheer fact that secondary market practices are associated with their watches despite it not being a direct result of the company...

Especially within this industry when more and more brands are going with boutique only while eliminating AD's. Even AD's are tightening their belts and selling at retail. That's why the pre-owned market is getting hotter by the day.
i wouldn't buy a ceramic version
Known issues are that the ceramic falls off. Yet to see any Swiss makers perfecting a perfect ceramic bezel unbonded to steel. The aluminium insert 16610LV is still the best.
