Sadly getting common.

That kind of situation has been happening here (Spain) for more than ten years. I know a few people that have lived this unpleasant situation as a victim.

In Ibiza, where people like to show off a lot, specially during summertime, many high end watches have been stolen from people's wrists. It's also happening in Barcelona lately.

Ten years ago, here in Valencia, a friend was in his car stopped at a traffic light, then someone riding a motorbike hit his side mirror, so he rolled down the window to say something, boom!, his WG Meteorite Dial Daytona was gone for good.

. . . who mugged a Mafioso's mom? When he was arrested and found out who he'd mugged, he went into shock. And later, he had the living daylights beat out of him in jail. ;-)

30 year old kid. Smoking in his car. Past midnite. Hanging out in the far East Village, not too far from sketchy areas. You’d have to be wearing some bling to want to get noticed...

Best thing about being in countries with right-hand drive cars is having your watch hand safe

No way someone can bump your mirror and then rip your watch off when you open the window to flip the mirror back.

Word of advice

I recently had my property in an affluent area of Central London forcefully broken into via the front door in broad daylight and my property ransacked. I called the police and was shocked at their response and downright comical handling of the situation. ...

Terribly sorry to hear that but anything less than a murder is unlikely to get seen to.

It has come to the point that you would actually be grateful for not being physically harmed by the criminals. They are running the country, literally!

Unfortunately, 2018 was the year I stopped wearing my watches fully open in London.

It doesn't matter if you can look after yourself well, the potential attacks can happen at any corner, in any area, at any time of the day. I'm not so much worried about my watch being stolen, I'm more worried about my watch getting damaged in the fight. ...
