The complications as conceived and exectued by Journe add to the romance of the mechanical watch, IMHO. My point was merely that while this is one of the most interesting chronographs, and one fo the most interesting mechanical watches for me, it is not one that would serve well at least in MY small collection. It remains, however, on my list of watches that I find most interesting.
I also love the rocker control on the Centigraphe -- it is easy to use, works smoothly, and is low profile on this complicated watch. I believe this watch came oiut at roughtly the same time or year as the JLC Duometre, which made it for a very interesting time for chronographs, no?

Played with one for an hour in a boutique
a beautiful dial and fun to see the hands race. I was turned off by the maximum epoch it can time being just 10 min, although I would be the first to admit that Chronos aren't very practical that is too short even for my modest needs. Best
