Hi respo--I agree with your viewpoint on this watch.
I did a lot of research on this watch a while back and called my favorite dealer. It's truly unique and extraordinary. Ultimately, though, like well, every FPJ watch except the CS, the design is just too 'weird' for me. I think that may be the case for most Purists... also, the complication is truly 'useless'. Not that complications need to be useful, or even have any pragmatic merit... but a 'regular' chrono is at least useful for ordinary time measurement, both mundane and competitive... the Centigraphe seems to be a 'mental' watch...Clearly, it is in the stratosphere of greatness, in terms of execution and exquisite attention to fine detail, but the weird-factor, the love-it or hate-it dial, and the only theoretical or 'useless' complication, in the final analysis, made it a watch to admire, but not own...
Brad (our former FPJ moderator) is most definitely the man to PM, and from his posts, he loves his Centigraphe...
