I agree with you on this
If I wanted a truly accurate chronograph for timing I would use a digital watch like a Casio or Timex. There are some watches that I think the chronograph model is more attractive, or the watch I like only comes with a chronograph. I have two mechanical watches with a chronograph and that function was not a determining factor in purcahase other than aesthetics.

Played with one for an hour in a boutique
a beautiful dial and fun to see the hands race. I was turned off by the maximum epoch it can time being just 10 min, although I would be the first to admit that Chronos aren't very practical that is too short even for my modest needs. Best

I was initially very intrigued by this one, too. I played with one for quite a while once as well. It is definitely a very interesting piece, but seems to me more of a novelty than one I would want to have unless mine was to be part of a large collection....
