Horological Meandering

Nice post!

I'm new to Omega and bought my first Seamaster Aqua Terra a few days ago.

I'm starting to categorize dress watch versus sports watch less and less. What is the use of this distinction?

What for me is sure to remain is an immense versatility when it comes to the specimen you described.

I just think it's great when a watch has a WR of 100m and more (mine has 150m), 15,000 gauss, a decent PR.
Why not also in a so called “dress watch”?

If you look at the “holy trinity” where you might pay insane prices for WR 50m, no protection against magnetism, now at least a PR of 55 hours (formerly 40 hours) and so on (I just looked at the “new” 50th anniversary releases of one very famous brand in another thread), I think Omega delivers an excellent cost benefit ratio.

Just my 2c.

Best
Thomas

P.S.: Your Globemaster is really beautiful.
