Moser PC big date

...has big white numerals, generaly 'light' enough to balance the indices. Especially the laer 2 digit dates. The 1st of the month is a bit lightweight, but one can't have everything.

If the Moser date window were to be framed, the indices would need to become visually heavier to match.

That balance of visual weight is certainly present in the SLGB006 because of Evo9 big hour markers.

It would NOT have worked with Moser's elegantly slim markers.

What this reveals is that a framed date window reduces the variability of visual weight of the date as it changes, with the visual weight ranging from '1' (lightest) to '28' (heaviest).

But at the cost of weighing down the entire dial. Kind of like modern conveniences and safety features in sports cars.

Also, btw, if somebody offers me the Moser as-is, manual wind and all, I'll take it!
