More sad, just this behavior.
And it’s not confined to a place or country. The same behavior was shown in several countries.
Like WT(actual)F, who raised these people, who said the rules weren’t for you.
As an aside, I was driving down a quieter residential street here in NYC last weekend. Generally a low vehicular traffic, low pedestrian traffic area. The car in front of me ran 4 consecutive red lights. Not speeding through, but slowing down, clearly seeing if anyone was at the crosswalk and then driving on. (There was no merging traffic and so only pedestrians would have been there). This was ~9:45am on a Saturday.
People on scooters (gas powered) run the lights in NYC all the time.
What’s happening at these Swatch stores is similar, but of course money is involved. These same issues of unruly or even criminal behaviors around sneaker “drops” and clothing “drops” has happened a fair amount recently too.
In many ways it certainly is disturbing, but we’re now the ‘old guard’
…and the world rewrites the rules every chance it gets. One man’s sacrilege is another man’s salvation.
And this is the value of the collaboration for Swatch and AP, breaking into the news cycle with their brands in the headlines of mainstream media.
And people are looking to make a quick buck out of the situation.
To be fair, the early flippers made money.
Standard formula, immediately to the resale sites. And several colours traded at a premium for a while I recall.
My guy got one but he’s worn out battling crazy customers for his allocation🤪

Criminals and Flippers..... sounds like a FAILING monetary system nearing it's endgame.
Swatches, gold, silver.... typical hype watches.... no one wants to hold currency long-term.
