Our community is based on the premise that conversations should be conducted as though they were being held at a cocktail party. Just as one would never engage in a conversation regarding price as specifically drawn regarding, for example, art or vacation properties, topics narrowly defined by price shouldn't be considered here.
One might bring up the auction of a vintage Bugatti at a cocktail party and perhaps even mention the hammer, but that's quite a bit removed from saying, "Who paints the best pictures for $100K vs $500K?". Yet that's precisely the implication of your question.
To all: please refrain from posting topics narrowly defined by price. You would never brag at a cocktail party about the discount received on a shipment of wine; it should be the same here. You would never say, "My child's private school tuition is half that of yours, but his chances of getting into Harvard are almost as good." Let's frame our discussions as broadly and gently as we would in polite company.
