Horological Meandering

Just my impressions ...

Based on the little that I understood about movements:

1) I prefer hand wound movements based on my interactions with the watch and the assurance that the watch is wound.

2) The absence, except on micro rotor, allow us to see the movement. Of course there are movements micro rotor based that are not fully visible (Caliber 11/12/15 as an example).

3) A hand wound watch, I believe that is general knowledge, requires more frequent watchmaker visits because of the stress on the crown and associated items (gaskets, etc.).

My choice, if there are options, will be to select a hand wound one.

I still regret a Zenith El Primero hand wound that I passed because it was hand wound. Big mistake.

Cheers,

Nilo
