Many places will use Deployment (even my damn spell check is suggesting it right now). Which does not make it right.
This is not a question lol (like "nucular vs. nuclear"). It's DEPLOYANT. Deployment is for troops. But the confusion...

Yes, and it was a Swiss brand, I'm pretty sure.
Although it could have been second party advertising (dealer, not brand itself). I cannot remember which brand.

Deployant and Deployment are both wrong!
Perhaps it's a matter of translation.
The word deployant doesn't exist in English and the proper spelling of the word in its native French would be déployante. It seems the closest word in English would be deployment. Of course this may not really be the reason but it's the best I can come up...

While I appreciate Clymer's intention of educating aspiring watch collectors about the proper dos and don'ts, I'm so accustomed to hearing deployant/deployment that it doesn't phase me at all.
