A lot of scientists say that if planet earth gets 2 degrees centigrade warmer, we may have massive problems that will be very difficult to recover from. Massive melting of the polar ice caps, rising sea levels, and a bunch of other problems. Well... India is about to undergo a rapid modernization movement. Much sooner than I originally expected. That means more concrete (concrete is a huge CO2 contributor), more fossil fuels for electricity and transportation, etc. With hundreds of millions of people modernizing in a short 10 years, we will likely exceed that 2*C barrier relatively soon. Big problems are ahead!

Oh my, yes these types of storms are very dangerous.
We get them here quite a bit. They build structures for 150mph here, roof is internally strapped to the main structure, etc. Best wishes for a fast recovery.
