it depends on the cooperation format
I think some watches’ cooperation is meaningful. Yes, some athletes will be the official endorsement only, but some of the cooperation also record the remarkable moments or memories for the athletes, like the spirit of never giving up. One of the examples could be Hublot King Power ‘Black Mamba’. Some athletes also will involve in the design of the watch, so I think it depends on the cooperation format.

I’m honestly unimpressed by any ‘greats’ sponsoring watches, or at least the watches that I would buy…Patek’s no-ambassador philosophy is the winner here (basically, you buy a Patek in order to look like…yourself, not someone else! ;-)

To be honest I don’t follow football, but that was pretty interesting when it became public! ;-)) I guess certain brands also lend themselves more naturally to collaborations (e.g., RM also as a form of technical demonstration)…
