I had the same experience with the first Panerai I bought about 3 years ago.. It has a 44mm case, and I thought it was huge... But I remembered it was only less than a month that I was used to wearing it... Even now I could wear up to 47mm...

by pushing it back my wrist gained 1/4 inch. Can't wait to get the shorter strap. I think that will be the decision maker.
