Congrats on your acquisition!
Honestly, it is bigger than "average" but it is not TOO big in my opinion.
A lot of watches wear bigger than that (eg PAMs). I think the ROO is suppoed to wear big anyway so it looks ok to me.
But obviously it's how it feels on your wrist that's what's matter. If it's comfortable on your wrist, then I wouldn't even worry about it.
... to this question, but now I'm not sure. And like many things in life, it's what's going on in your head rather than on your wrist thats most important. ;-)
My rule of thumb is usually if the lugs hang over the edge of the wrist it's too big, but it's not just about wrist diameter, but shape as well. And this is a large sports watch, no doubt. It is meant to be big and bold. The correct and well fitted strap is essential for comfort. The relative lightness of the rubberclad that you mention sounds like an advantage.
The RO is a different creature, and the 'wrist fit' is only a small part of it. If I was you, I would live with the Offshore for a while before deciding. If you find you are not wearing it, despite several visits to the psychologists here on PPro and the AP Forum, consider the trade.
But in the meantime it looks great!
Andrew
Ps. I love Offshores in pictures, but every time I strap one on I think I look like a clown. So it's either years of counselling or the RO for me!
So: what's the RO got to do with that??????
;-)
Cheers,
pplater.

Watchismo,
I'd suggest you try wearing it proximal to the bone on your wrist (i.e., closer to the elbow). For reasons that elude me, we see many postings of watches worn over the bone, where they are more likely to wobble and cause discomfort. Every time I see this, I wonder why that fellow is wearing his wristwatch on his hand.
If the lugs extend when the watch in the correct anatomical position, you'll have your answer.
Park
that only
important thing is what you think.
So what do you think? Is it too big?
If you doubt it obviously you are inclining towards yes answer....
There is no reason to worry especially not over what might other will say....
look he's wearing too big watch.... if I could afford it I would wear Big
Egiziano
daily no regardless what other might think.....
It's all in head as Andrew perfectly put it
Cheers

... we all have a distorted perception of what is wearable because a whole lot of watch brand CEOs and "ambassadors" are putting on watch-sizes with their formal wear that make them look like ambassadors of bad taste outside the horological world. But that does not mean that we should follow suit!
Christian
I fully second your remark, Christian! Our perception of size and wearability is definitely influenced by what the brands try to sell us: "Big is beautiful".
Somehow I remembered that phrase differently
.
Although our wrists did hardly grow, the case sizes almost exploded in the last 5 years. Only few companies did not join this trend or only moderately increased their watch sizes.
Kind regards,
anaesdoc
its a ROO, it is meant to be somewhat noticable.
Best
Andreas
Hi watchismo,
I fully consent AndrewD´s general remarks on size, case shape and its different perception. But if you ask for an outsider´s opinion, I join all those who say, it´s too large (and bulky) for your wrist.
If you like it despite all our comments, it´s THE watch for you
!
Kind regards,
anaesdoc
