I would be pressed to say that the same concept applies to Panerai...
But then again, you have so many strap choices available that everyday you can have a "different" watch. I know there are also many options available for ROOs but it doesn't seem to be as extensive as Panerai!
Regarding your other reply, one must accept and appreciate the flaws of personal things such as relationships, friends, etc...
Our hobby, for the most part, focuses on perfection and excellence in design (disregarding vintage pieces), so when I purchase the watch that has some inherent design flaw, or serious imperfection on the dial or elsewhere that did not come from regular use, I find it difficult to keep it.
