T-oxy Concept

Between the forbidden and the ephemeral

The T-oxy Concept represents both the culmination of a preposterous idea and the most extreme form of a particularly sophisticated concept. This exceptional timepiece is a completely rusted high-watchmaking timepiece designed using non-stabilised rusted steel from the Titanic.

Don’t wear it! The T-oxy Concept can only be admired under its glass dome filled with argon. Release it and oxygen will carry on its destructive work where it left off.

Warning: extremely corrosive model, non-guaranteed

For a new brand to be making a watch you can't wear, that's just a tad overboard IMO.

Watches made from grave-robbed metal, then the same watches but pre-rusted for you, then one that doesn't even tell time, and now, finally, a watch that you cannot even wear: www.romainjerome.ch Brilliant, stupid, offensive, funny, sad, all of the above? ...

When a brand sees fit to manufacture a watch with such blatant disregard to good taste and even by their own words - preposterous - and at such prices, it makes all watch collectors look ridiculous when non-collectors sees and hears about such watches. Th...

One can argue many points here...

I would take a look at it from the standpoint of the Purists, well why not, that is where we are discussing this. The marketing is brilliant, if in fact the sales numbers are to be believed and all these watches are actually made, work, and then willing b...
