To me, my watch is part of my life, and being now near 64 years old, I have been sleeping with a watch on my wrist since I got my first one, when I was nine, so...
After 50 plus years with this custom, I can´t go sleeping without a watch on my wrist!
No fear of bumps or scratches while dreaming!
I´m sure you´ll be receiving very different answers from our Purists friends here!

I simply prefer to have nothing on my wrist while I sleep. Certainly a more critical issue for large or very expensive watches, since you cannot possibly consciously control how you move as you sleep, and the solid obstructions that may present themselves...

Sometimes I leave it on my wrist whenever I'm on a...
photo trip. Well, especially, for Seikos in particular as I can't wind my Samurais and the power reserve on both my orange and black one can be a bit dicey. As a rule though, I take them off when I sleep. Actually I take them off upon reaching the house!

its something i've always done i think. the habit was made permanent when i was in the army as you never leave valuables lying around and never know when your going to be dragged out of bed in a hurry so its always better to wear your watch. never damaged...

I always take off my watch before bed, and before a shower. Don't like to care much about time when asleep, and feel uncomfortable with it on in bed, also don't need to see the time for the 5 mins it takes to shower. To each his own! Rishad
