For me, it depends on the watch, but, I am more a bracelet guy, but, do love a good nato/watch combo…I wish I could get with straps other than nato…on a Panerai, yes, no problem here, but, I have tried on Speedmasters and subs and don’t prefer that combo. If I had a Navitimer, yes, to the leather, so I think it is watch dependent. I think if I had a Carrera, I would want that on a perforated leather strap.
Thanks for this post, now I realize I need to rebuild my collection, only have the 5513 sub, and a couple of CWCs, as I have gifted my others to family members.
