Fantastic post, thank you!
I can't wait the next ones.
Mine are very boring compared with yours. Most of my watches are related with some kind of success in the business and now I'm working hard in order to get a Grand Complication. I hope I will get an opportunity to tell that story later.
Best, Kari
You are the man!

Hey, Nicolas - I am so happy you liked my post. I never miss an "amanico" post and I know you and I have discussed the great JLC brand. And so, you give me much pride today and I appreciate your kind words very much. - elliot55 (Scott)

Hi, Ed - You know, I went back and reread the thread last night and realized you meant "X" as "ANY" relative, not an ex-Relative. And then I realized how silly my reply was. I should have read it: Family Member 'X' never gave me a 'Y' watch, which is why ...
What a story!

You are smart. This is a gift from casino. Many gamblers won enough money to buy a Rolex but stayed put hoping that they would win enough to buy a tourbillon. They always ended up in a situation where they can't even afford a Casio. Regards Ling

Hey, Ling - I think the best lesson I ever learned was how to walk away from the tables. If you lose three times in a row, leave the casino, get a drink and wait 'till tomorrow. Vegas used to be so much fun and now The Strip is just a sea of band-aid-dres...

When you're young you have everything to gain and nothing to lose and quitting while you're ahead is the best advice anyone can give you. Getting that sub with your winnings was a seriously good move but I would have probably gone for the double whammy - ...
