I'd also like to reconfirm with you that the Cal100 is not an instantaneous date? Which mean all plates in every aperture moves gradually at midnight?
And it can be adjust backward, right?

I should have strap it on that day! A 42mm doesn't sound like it's size would be a problem in today's standard. But may be you've pin point the problem...the strap fitting mechanism...gapless with the watch but not with my wrist. What a pity if it doesn't...
