The Resonance is perfect with so many outfits. I love EG and have two pairs as well but their lasts doesn’t seem to fit my foot so well. I prefer shoes from John Lobb (Paris)that are somewhat similar in style as EG. Their last are an almost perfect fit. B... 

Indeed we have similar taste i have only 1 EG but quite a few JLs, primarily like their 7000 last is very good fit for me

However, I like shoes more that are sturdy in construction , with double leather soles. John Lobbs shoes are more "indoor shoes", office shoes. My JL Langtons with austerity brouguing: ...  

And honestly they are not too practical in da ish weather with lots of rain. Today I’m wearing Alden horween boots with a double sole. Much more useful in this wet, muddy winter we have at the moment. Beautiful JL in museum calf. Yes, so soft. Luckily it ...

The 202 last is one if the best fitting last in my feet. Snugg, but great fit. My two 202 EG shoes: Chelsea in dark green with red (!) lining are almost my daily wear shoes Sandringham on 202 last also in dark green ...  

Those are shoes for a lifetime if well cared for. I have lots of brogues but have come to the conclusion that a simple cap toe is my favorite.

Can be a lot of fun... ...
