But yeah, the LM101 almost looks like it has a clear / gloss coat on the frosting while I remember the FB3 having a more natural fine sand blast but it could have been the lighting so I would try to see it in person. As I understand it all the parts are sand blasted by hand to ensure even coverage and consistency of texture between parts (angle, distance, duration of blasting) so it's not necessarily less work than say graining or striping the bridges, it's an intentional design aesthetic.
One thing that did stick out to me was the MILES of anglage on this piece. With so many individual components on both sides of the watch the shear linear mm of anglage required is nuts.
