During my visit last month, I had the opportunity to see the L.U.C Quattro Mark IV in rose gold: Yesterday, another flight delay at Logan — this time due to tires rather than weather — caused me to miss my connection to Syracuse at LaGuardia . But as any ...
I feel this is a very nice release....but I feel the movement department can add just a little effort to invest in some nice angles. Sometimes I don't understand why, but I also agree with a recent article about LUC. Thanks for sharing and glad to see the...
The movement is beautifully executed in many respects, but I can see how a few sharper angles or more architectural elements could elevate it even further. Still, for a 9-day power reserve, I think the overall execution is pretty remarkable. You mentioned...
Great point on the pointer date — visually, I agree it might look even cleaner without it. But then I wonder… would it still be a Quattro?🤔 That pointer date has been part of the Quattro’s DNA for a while now — and I think it reinforces the idea that this...
It's on my priority list to go see this at the boutique next time I'm in NYC. It looks great in your wrist shots. And I agree, I also prefer the platinum version. Have never seriously considered buying a Chopard before they came out with this.
I’ve actually been a fan of the L.U.C. line for a while now — they’ve quietly built something special with real substance behind the design. That said, it’s great to hear this release (and maybe my post!) got you thinking more seriously about Chopard. Alw...
I have begun to recognize your distinctive and very entertaining writing style. Fun to read. Well, if I may be honest, since it is not your watch (yet). I was more in love with the marketing pics than these real world ones. I'm not sure I love that textur...
Totally fair on the lugs — I know exactly what you mean. The Qualité Fleurier has a more traditional presence, while these lean more toward a modern, streamlined feel. And yes, that dial texture isn’t going to be everyone’s cup of tea. I happen to love th...
The 9-day power reserve really is something special — one of those practical feats that doesn’t sacrifice elegance. Glad you appreciate the L.U.C. as much as I do. All the best to you as well!🥂
The textured dial on the platinum version is very interesting. It appears to give off many different colors from the different angles of the pictures. The rainbow colors look great with the white metal of the platinum case.
It plays beautifully with light, revealing subtle rainbows and shifting hues depending on the angle. The way it complements the cool tones of the platinum case is one of my favorite aspects of this version. Have you seen it in person yet, or is it still o...
But I totally get it — Chopard really nailed it here; the pointer date is subtle enough that it complements rather than disrupts the dial’s beauty. Definitely a win for those of us who appreciate function without sacrificing aesthetics.
A few weeks ago I was able to try on both models too, and there’s definitely a lot to love about them. The blue textured dials look very contemporary though, and for that reason, my heart didn’t catch fire. Just my taste for more traditional aesthetics, o...
I agree, the blue textured dial definitely leans more contemporary, and I get how that might not spark the same emotional connection if you prefer classic looks. That’s the beauty of the L.U.C. line though — it offers a range that speaks to different tast...
Chopard does a great job exploring and offering different aesthetics but always with great refinement and elegance. Here are two photos of my hands-on session. Best regards, Emmanuel ...
Definitely worth carving out a little extra time for a boutique visit. Hope you get to see it in person soon — it’s even better than the photos suggest!
