It plays beautifully with light, revealing subtle rainbows and shifting hues depending on the angle. The way it complements the cool tones of the platinum case is one of my favorite aspects of this version.

The textured dial on the platinum version is very interesting. It appears to give off many different colors from the different angles of the pictures. The rainbow colors look great with the white metal of the platinum case.

But I totally get it — Chopard really nailed it here; the pointer date is subtle enough that it complements rather than disrupts the dial’s beauty. Definitely a win for those of us who appreciate function without sacrificing aesthetics.
