Breguet

I recall a model for the Ginza store a few years ago with a central seconds, while undeniably attractive it was limited in number. The time only Classique on blue or even white enamel would be welcome. They have a blue dial central seconds with a date tha...  

Also long gone... Having checked their site they do not offer many refs. in enamel, such a nice option on the Classique

They are AWFUL! Bad volume and bad tonality. Also quite slow. Breguet does amazing work on almost all of their watches. But when it comes to the minute repeaters, I strongly implore you hear them first and others to compare... The Breguet pieces I've hear... 

So a 5157BR/11/9V6 or a 7147BB/29/9WU but with the blue dial... the opposite end of their pricing scale ...  

I really like the guilloche dial one A LOT! Just exquisite. Breguet really do make some amazing timepieces (just not minute repeaters). I'd live without the minute repeater and with the extra 100,000+ Pounds in my bank account.

Reminds me of my IWC minute repeater, but possibly worse.

AP is very special in minute repeaters, they were one of the first to do carillons, meaning more than two gongs. AP actually has a rich history in minute repeaters. Patek Philippe and Vacheron Constantin minute repeaters really do sound wonderful, very cr... 

My MR makes for sure no scratchy sounds. And also the regulator makes no noise? But maybe I just got lucky with my piece? ...

I don't think I've heard the Toric Minute Repeater from Parmigiani. Hmm. If you get a chance, try a modern minute-repeater only Patek Philippe or a modern minute-repeater only Vacheron Constantin and those are usually quite good. They are fully integrated... 

Or perhaps they changed something during the service? Mine had a complete service before I bought it. Or I'm partially deaf… 😎😁

Your hearing is most likely adequate. It's probably just you gotta listen to a lot more minute repeaters. These things are definitely hard to find since most stores won't carry them. Even on WatchProSite, not every WPS reader has even heard A SINGLE minut... 

Just kidding, and more importantly… thanks for your honesty. So important that we have real honest discussions about watches. It’s the only way things get improved.

Breguet does a lot of amazing watches. Just the minute repeaters don't sound great. But 99% of their watches otherwise are truly fantastic. Lots of beautiful hand engraving on some of their movements too. Just great products!

And I absolutely love it. I don't show it here, due to all the negative comments. I will say that the blue enamel for the time only that I have is a different blue than the blue enamel tourbillon. The time only is darker, and I prefer it. I will try to se... 

That is a really nice looking watch. Was it only in blue or was there a white enamel version too?

Yellow, rose, or white gold, many options! And the movement has two small internal angles in the anglage, just to let you know they are doing it right at Breguet.
