match the very special identity of this watch. But I prefer to reserve my judgement until I'll be able to see this watch in the metal. Judging from photos is never enough.

I've personally always been attracted to "one hand only" watches. It's part of the reason why I acquired the L.U.C Quattro Spirit 25 (which has a jumping hour and not just one hand, of course). It's also the reason why I dedicated a thread to Audemars Pig... 

...as I am retired and don't have to time my life to the second. And I prefer a 12-hour dial to a 24-hour dial like the new Patek...

I do wonder how normal that enamel pitting is at that magnification. Probably not noticeable to the naked eye, so that's what counts IMO. I like the watch even more in these live pics. Thanks! John

and a great part of the pleasure it gives resides in its texture and its almost invisible imperfections. Like you, though, I'm not sure if the pitting that we cans see is completely "normal", but the texture certainly is. Best, Emmanuel

...either way, this watch could have used gold under the hands instead of whatever it is now...

It just remains to be seen whether this is something we would really notice or mind "in the metal". As far as I'm concerned, I prefer to suspend all "definitive" judgement until the hands-on experience.

And, as ifraher noted just above, the hand connection to the center wheel leaves doesn't feel completely right (at least to me). Best, Emmanuel

This piece is very much to my taste! I even like the simple case sides. Not an everyday watch but would be a nice addition to any serious collection

The 40mm size is a move in the right direction and the new lugs are an admission of the challenge with the straight lugs - they even speak to that: That said I estimate lug-lug of nearly 47mm which isn't great for me The tribute to the Souscription is nic...  

But again: let's wait for a hands-on experience. My L.U.C and my Laurent Ferrier are 40mm and I don't see that it is a problem at all.

Just as in the original pocket watch, this seems to be a way to obscure the numbers as little as possible while still clearly indicating the time. Both beautiful and clever.

I agree with you concerning this watch and the agressive pricing. But after having given it a thought I must say that Breguet isn't more agressive than its competitors. Still, I would like to see this watch in real life to really know how I feel about it....

It's blending the classical design from the original souscription with modern design with the case of this piece. Certain part like the wheel connecting the hand seems unfinished to me, hopefully because this is the prototype. Can't wait to view the watch...
