I never saw one in white gold but that is certainly also a superb combination.

The Breguet ref.5247 BR

Quite a while since I last actively participated in the forum. In the meantime I visited regularly and I still appreciate the very kind way of communicating between the participants without the roughness that unfortunately has become the norm for many int...

Gerard, these pictures are gorgeous, and the watch is sublime. I love the 5247 Chrono so much that it is on my list. In white gold.

It has a lot of charm in rose gold. It enhances its vintage look. So, manual winding movement, and a nice one, plus an enamel dial... Two good reasons to have it. As you said, 39 mm is a maximum. I really like it. Thanks for your post. You should post mor...

Here it is...

The white gold makes for a completely different character !

More contemporary and certainly more versatile. At the time when I got the watch I was not even aware of a white gold white enamel version. Must be pretty rare ...

That’s a very seductive watch!

I’ve looked at Breguet many times but they always left me cold (including the white gold example) but your watch’s mix of colorful gold plus white and red is really superb! Thanks Cazalea

"The movement finish is very good without however approaching Lange or PP standards ..." I don't agree..... ;-)

Lange maybe. But PP, no way. I think you are selling your amazing piece short. I am a massive fan of the effort Breguet puts in. Everywhere. Here is a 5070 chronograph wheel bridge: That is a poorly executed inner angle on one of the 'front of house' comp...

Thanks for this comparison.

This is very interesting and maybe my assessment was not correct. I did not have the possibility to compare directly with a 5070.

Excellent, your post is a gem.

Thank you.

What a beautiful watch and pictures.

The close up of the enamel dial is mesmerising. I’m curious about the little figure which appears in various places around the dial (it’s like a little stick man) - any information? Regards Kev.

Thanks Nicolas but they don’t look like stars to me.

I thought they may be some ancient, arcane French symbol but they still look like stick men to me. Whatever they are they don’t detract in any way from that gorgeous dial. I love the whole watch. Regards Kev.

Looks like stylized bees to me.

Similar to what we see on the small second hand... but I look forward to the official explanation.
