Gerard, these pictures are gorgeous, and the watch is sublime. I love the 5247 Chrono so much that it is on my list. In white gold.
It has a lot of charm in rose gold. It enhances its vintage look. So, manual winding movement, and a nice one, plus an enamel dial... Two good reasons to have it. As you said, 39 mm is a maximum. I really like it. Thanks for your post. You should post mor...

I thought they may be some ancient, arcane French symbol but they still look like stick men to me. Whatever they are they don’t detract in any way from that gorgeous dial. I love the whole watch. Regards Kev.
Looks like stylized bees to me.
Similar to what we see on the small second hand... but I look forward to the official explanation.
