I had a full size 50 Fathoms at one point as well but didn't keep it because of it's 45mm size. I love the fact that BP released 42mm versions into regular production. It is going to be much more wearable for most people.
The 40mm versions of the 50 fathoms have the best dial symmetry to my eye. The only thing that would make this 50th Anniversary perfect to me is if would have been produced without the date. The other 50 Fathoms varient that I really love is the Hoodinkee Milspec on the bracelet. I almost bought that one before too. Maybe someday!

But I finally tracked down a 50th Anniversary in great condition. This piece, right out of the box, is as nice as I always thought it would be... BP did a great job at blending in the date on the dial. I guess I'd prefer it without, but the date window do...

Is more fun than getting the actual watch. In this case both were equally great!
