Sorry to gazump You Ben....

First of all, the ring is a very fast and unforgiving track. Looks like his entry speed was too fast and as a consequence ran wide. Hit the dirt , lost traction leading to oversteer slide. It s very possible ( for the majority of drivers ) when the slide started to happen , one's natural instinct is to back off totally on the loud peddle accentuating the slide.

To catch the slide you need razor sharp reflexes to quickly do an  opposite lock ( a quick flick ) and not back off the loud pedal ( by backing off suddenly, a massive oversteer slide would occur ). Hopefully the opposite lock and a mechanical Torsen differential will correct the slide and have car pointing in the right direction.

It's possible with e- nannies the slide may not be terminal and the slide could be caught.
My golf aquaintence tells me in his Ferrari Italia 458 , you can set your e- nanny to the most extreme setting and you can get car to slide like this and the traction and stability system will catch the slide. However , no e - nanny can overcome the laws of physics if the velocity is too great.

Cheers, dreamer
