Another day with Alpine.
I had to bring my Alpine back to the Deauville Center for the annual service. And I ennjoyed it very much, as they gave me the new Alpine A110S I could test drive for the whole day.
So, I could feel the difference between the former A 110S with its 292 HP and 320 Nm torque, and this new one with its 300 HP and 340 Nm torque.
I have to say that I never felt the difference between a Pure or a Legend ( 252 HP ) and the S ( 292 HP ) except that on the S you could go a bit higher in the revs.
With the new S, t is a different song. You really feel the difference in power and torque.
Now, compared to mine ( 302 HP and 380 Nm ), I prefer mine, which is more brutal, shaper. On mine, I achieved to take the " turbo effect " out. It behaves like a big atmospheric engine. On the new S, you feel the Turbo at around 2000 rpm.
I could test it on the small roads, and on the highway. It was a superb experience.

Ah, and yes, I made a small but very cool improvement on mine, during the service...

Well, it is a matter of technical possibilities. For example, when I started to search for a sport cat, it didn't exist for the Alpine... And also a matter of money...
But between a super equipped and prepared S and mine, I saved a good 15 000 Euros, if not more...
That's what I thought last week .... :-(

Yea, all true indeed.
The R is a very special car, you really need to buy an extra set of wheels with PS4, preferably on aluminium wheels. The carbon wheels with the CUP2 are okay for track and warm days.
