Alpine A 110R Ultime.
It is the real name of the epitome of the A 110. More powerful, with 325 HP, even a bit more of you find a fuel dedicated to competition ( 345 HP ), a new 6 speed gearbox ( sequential ) able to swallow a bigger torque ( more than 400 Nm versus 340 ), new interior, new paint ( two tone blue ), new aerodynamics, new rims and brakes... An a new price, which is totally mad: 260, 000 Euros. At that price, I would go for a " cheaper " Cayman GT4RS, or a good old 911 GT3.
Even the hard core Alpine Fan in me thinks that it is way over priced for what it is.
I hope they will launch some new versions of the A 110 before they discontinue it ( in one year or so ).

As cool as it is, and it is uber-cool, the price is absurd. So many better options for almost $300K....
Even though it isn't totally fair to use that allegory,

The original price I saw came from a country where the CO2 emissions resulted is a large portion of the price being taxes, no t the price charged by Alpine itself…

Well, the datas are very good, not exceptional, for Alpine in general. 3, 8 secs for the 0 to 100, and 285 Km/h. The most important thing for alpine is the driving sensations.
Which is already very good with Pure, S, GT and R. In my opinion, no need to go for this one. As for prices, except this one, the feelings / price ratio is almost unbeatable. Best, Marc, Nicolas

Or maybe I should instead say, if the car is "too" fast, it lessens the obtainable enjoyment on regular roads. I have a friend with a Lambo Huracan, Ferrari 458, C8 Z06, and one of the special 911s (not sure which one TBH). He prefers to drive his old man...
Well, I think you can be inspired by some ideas, with this one. The rims, for example, which come from one supplier who works with the competition department. Same for the brakes.
So you can have something excellent, for much less, and for an equal enjoyment.
Whoever buys this ....
.. already has a normal A110 ... and enough cash ;-) .. and probably an old A110 ... and a A310, Clio and Megane Renaultsports as well A real collectors item this latest A110, and what a cool one it is ! For 265K I would also buy a A110 Pure and a 911 GT3...

Offcourse ... NOT ! Although I will definitely try it out. My dealer also ordered the A290 so will have to try that one as well. For the moment I don't need an EV, if I ever need one it will be by 2030 at the earliest I think. We are now at a turning poin...
I agree that things may change in the next 5 to 10 years. Maybe we'll have Hydrogen engines? Maybe EV will have much more autonomy? Less Expensive than they are right now?
Many questions about EV cars, for sure. If they have an autonomy of 100 kilometers, and that you have to spend 5 minutes for a full refill, and if the prices are much lower than now, then it might be a solution. In the meantime, I am very happy with my tw...
