If you make a mistake in the 997, the car will spin. Anything 991 and later is so easy to drive, and the traction control is so good, that the car will catch you and prevent you from spinning the car. I was at a Porsche event on the race track (I posted it back in the day) and basically the car wouldn't spin even if I tried to provoke the car (I was at a safe place to do this, on a racetrack, not on a private road). The 997 is for real drivers!
