I think the solid thickness of this watch makes a manual movement obsolete.

i think I may well be. But whether first or the 500 it is just as significant to me!
wrist size is around 17.25. I shall post some better photos next week once I can take with my Leica rather than the iPhone.

My only concern would be the thickness...it seems a tad bit 'top-heavy' if that makes sense. Thanks for the review.
I understand that concern and at around 14mm it is large but somehow I feel it just works.
I can see this as casual more than with a suit but no doubt I shall try with both!
Perhaps a manual-wind version in the future...

i have two issues with it though: why is it s thick? also, legibility seems bad with low contrast of hands/dial.
