I bought this watch in a Hong Kong AD shop in 2003, but since then I never saw this version again, not even on the internet. It\'s not the normal version of dual time... Does anyone happen to know about this watch? ...

The reason being mainly that the tapisserie is wrong for the model, based on the serial number. The lume looks poorly done, and the PR fonts are very different from the others, and I don’t believe AP would ever make the numerals in the second time zone su...

I hope for the OP’s sake that it is as you say, and the lack of photos online is nothing more than a sign of its rarity.

Many of us have never seen this one before, so we need your help to solve the mystery. I need you to go to a good watch maker, let him open up the watch and take out the movement, under the movement, inside the backcase, there will be a serial number engr... 

but without the 24-hour timezone indicator for the 2nd timezone. Different proportions and lume than I've ever seen. Could have been a LE for a local dealer. -Dean

I got it from a very large group store here, so it would not be fake by any means. I asked many local watch shops here, but none of them had seen this one before. So it would be interesting to find out more about it...

Interestingly that site/dealer was the only one with the model number – you could contribute to the Royal Oak Club’s archive with a photo of it.

Dual Time dial made for the 125th Anniversary of Audemars Piguet is a very rare reference. I hope the OP sends an email to the factory so they can tell him how many they exactly made. Maybe 25 pieces? S

As you know, at that time there were 3 pieces, the blue, the charcoal and the silver/white. They always seemed to all be in stock before the 2012 decision to really limit it, but I don't the sales volumes. Everyone seems to want or have the blue. I guess ...

I remember seeing one with Tantalum and Rosegold, really striking piece. this era from Audemars Piguet amongst others (the 1950s produced very beautiful and elegant pieces) produced very interesting creations, AP was not as well known as today and product... 

I'm really happy to own this one with its really appealing dial (the only RO with a drawing to my knowledge). Best wishes Alkiro ...

I do vaguely recall seeing a photo of this watch some years ago. It appears Sal has taken charge and provided us all with good information. Thanks everyone.

After reading all the posts, I have done some research since I reside in Hong Kong and I have the following findings. However it would be best to unscrew the case back to see the actual movement if its a genuine AP or something else. Just now I went up to... 

I have just gone ahead and forwarded a request to my contact at AP to see if he can lend some clarifying information. If I receive anything back, I will post it here.

But how did the watch end up in one of the King Fook stores!? As mentioned, this store chain exists all over Hong Kong.

But surely someone within the store has one or two pieces ready to sell to tourists. This kind of "dirty" selling used to happen along Kowloon Tsim Sha Tsui area few years back. As tourist return home to discover what they thought they bought turned out t... 

Even if this is a fake sold through King Fook I am sure that Ray must have paid for it by credit card in that case the money goes to the company .... even in case he paid by cash I am sure Ray took an invoice so that's proof enough of taking legal action ... 

but I am sorry for the owner of the watch. It is a shame that these things happen. I will be sure to avoid that retailer in the future.

AD usually lure customer by offering 10% discount or give out straps. But they never have the limited edition pieces immediately after release. Buying from AP-HK also build up a good customer relationship, to me that's far more important than getting disc... 

It makes sense to build a relationship directly with the manufacturer if you are in it for the long-term. I really hope MichaelC or some PuristS with contacts to AP and Ray0808 tell AP the full story and then AP can take an action against the retailer, es... 

But seeing that it happened 13 years ago, unless Ray8080 can still produced the invoice and report case to authority. Then to track down the salesman might be harder to establish whether he was actually employed or part time etc. That's why I always tell ... 

This brand is extremely vigilant and fights the good fight. I don't see this as hurting AP's image at all. They did not make the fake watch, instead they make products so desirable that everyone wants to copy them (even some real brands, we clearly see AP... 

it is not really AP's fault that crooks make counterfeits of their products. It just makes me so infuriated to think about it and the funny thing is I didn't lose a penny myself. I hope that specific HK retailer suffers some great embarrassment. (and yes ... 

For as much as we all are concerned with this topic, shouldn't we be able to believe we can walk into a reputable dealer and only handle authentic watches? Reselling is a massive business, but there are certainly companies that do it the right way and onl...

I am on a driving vacation and so did not come here the past two days. Regarding King Fook, it is a very big group, and it is hard to believe that it sells or sold fake watches. If so, then it is a very big issue. I will find it out when I am back in town... 

I will go directly when I am back in town. Honestly, I don't quite believe King Fook sold fake products. It is somewhat feeling like Wempe selling fake watches.... Also, all the touches and movements of the watch are very fine, definitely not easy to be p... 

In the reply to me, the big concern was dial. It looks quite rough. Who can really tell without physically examining it? Please keep us posted!

I sent a link to this thread, and in some of the photos it is very difficult to tell. That was the reason for concern. I compared your reference number, and it is correct for the dial.
