I bought this watch in a Hong Kong AD shop in 2003, but since then I never saw this version again, not even on the internet. It's not the normal version of dual time... Does anyone happen to know about this watch?
Never saw this model before. Any writing on the case back which could help (limited edition...). Did you already open it?

Even if the rest of the watch is genuine, I honestly believe that dial is 3rd party.
The reason being mainly that the tapisserie is wrong for the model, based on the serial number.
The lume looks poorly done, and the PR fonts are very different from the others, and I don’t believe AP would ever make the numerals in the second time zone sub-dial that big, nor with lume.
It looks overall like a mishmash of ROO Scuba meets 15400, meets DT

If not, then I would seriously consider going back to the dealer and getting a full refund.

The dial seems to have been inspired from a 25730, but like I said, the tapisserie is too big – so everything else doesn’t matter, not even the poor looking machining quality on the numerals section.
Crack open the case back and let’s see the movement – that’ll prove if it’s a fraken or a complete fake. I’m now leaning more towards the latter than the former.
This is an original AP Dial in the 1994 to 2000 period, AP was a different company then, much smaller, lower production, more of a handmade feel....
We'll solve this mystery.

I disagree about the dial, based on the tapisserie, but would be happy for my suspicions to be proven wrong.
I hope for the OP’s sake that it is as you say, and the lack of photos online is nothing more than a sign of its rarity.

Many of us have never seen this one before, so we need your help to solve the mystery. I need you to go to a good watch maker, let him open up the watch and take out the movement, under the movement, inside the backcase, there will be a serial number engraved. We need this number to know more about your watch.

Interesting. There are plenty of pictures of the reference 25730st with 07 and 09 as the last two digits. But none with 08. As 09 does exist, the probability should be high, that 08 really does exist. [nt]

Interestingly that site/dealer was the only one with the model number – you could contribute to the Royal Oak Club’s archive with a photo of it.

Dual Time dial made for the 125th Anniversary of Audemars Piguet is a very rare reference. I hope the OP sends an email to the factory so they can tell him how many they exactly made. Maybe 25 pieces?

Going fine so far thanks. Honestly no idea...
As you know, at that time there were 3 pieces, the blue, the charcoal and the silver/white. They always seemed to all be in stock before the 2012 decision to really limit it, but I don't the sales volumes. Everyone seems to want or have the blue. I guess it's the same for the Nautilus.

My Pleasure, it was a fun little treasure hunt LoooL, never seen it before, it's a cool Royal Oak at 36mm :-), some really nice pieces in this size...
I remember seeing one with Tantalum and Rosegold, really striking piece. this era from Audemars Piguet amongst others (the 1950s produced very beautiful and elegant pieces) produced very interesting creations, AP was not as well known as today and production numbers were much lower and there was a hand crafted feel to the pieces and more attention to detail and quality.

Regarding RO models, 36mm is a good size for me up to 39mm (my ROO Triple Date)
I'm really happy to own this one with its really appealing dial (the only RO with a drawing to my knowledge).
