"He who dares, wears..." PuristS... here is a bit of a sneak peek of a new Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph model set to be released next week at SIHH. I am dubbing this one "The Chameleon", and yes, MichaelC LOVES it! Nice to kick off the 2018 show with so...
This may end up a controversial piece, but my initial reaction . . . BOOM! I like it! Man, that's a wake up call for SIHH to begin. I'm excited. Thanks Mr C for posting. M4
I hearken back to the launch of the Juan Pablo Montoya. If you go by the forum replies, that might have been the worst watch ever. Oh wait... I mean one of the best. This model seems to be one destined to be seen in person. I can easily see owning it. I j...
we can have differing opinions on what we like but in the end owning a watch is a very personal thing and as long as that piece makes you happy thats all that matters. I also, agree with you on the 39mm RO- will definitely add either the 15300 or 15202 so...
While "polarizing" makes me want it more, "high profile" makes me want it less. At the end of the day, I never purchase a watch for myself based on what others think or choose for themselves. But I doubt this one will be under the radar with those who see...
After seeing this watch and hearing everyone’s 2 cents all day about it I’ve gone back and forth on whether I like it or not. I do not think the strap does it any favors but a solid tan strap in rubber or croc would be killer. I’m not going to judge it by...
This is not a combat watch just because it has a camo strap. They already have a Safari; Chameleon seems a good fit. Regardless of what we dub this Offshore, I'm excited to see it!
On the website the theme seems to be “Reinterpreting Our Classics”. Does this mean this is the “new” safari? Maybe we will see a navy/volcano/bumblebee variant in the 44mm offshores?
Most of the nicknames over the years seem to go with 42mm models - Safari, Volcano, Navy, Elephant. But it is no secret, 2018 marks 25 years of the Royal Oak Offshore... it is a safe bet that the theme will center on that ;-)
SEXY ! As you know, i love the yellow Chrono Diver very much - I also like many other APs - but the most special watches, the courageous watches, are the coolest! The 15202 is everybody's darling, and rightly so, but an Offshore like this with Camou rubbe...
No doubt it's very aggressive and sporty but I still prefer the classic roayl oak! (well, I can't afford both of them for now so it's just my opinion ) cheers and thanks for sharing Flavio
The truth is these 44mm Offshores wear quite large, easily the equivalent of a 47mm Panerai "on the wrist", IMO. I have a flat wrist and they work, but still a Monster. Let's see what else is coming...
Happy to see, that AP creates even more varieties of today’s hottest watch. Would have been a perfect choice for my recent holidays in Thailand. May not the watch for everyday or everybody but definitely for special occasions or leisure time. Regards, Han...
