AP Diver Thoughts and Questions
I've been thinking about getting a Diver for some time. (The one pictured is not mine). I've had some reservations which I'm hoping to sort through. I would intend to use it as an active sport watch for pool and beach.
For those that have (or had) an AP Diver I am curious about your impressions, specifically regarding the following:
1. How well does the Diver handle use in the sea/ocean? I know water resistance isn't an issue, but does the salt water cause abrasions and scratches to the polished or brushed finishing on the case or bezel? Does the sand at the beach cause such blemishes? In short, does the case hold up or does it begin to look ratty if used for its intended purpose say on 5-10 times a year.
2. How is the wearability on a practical level? Does the thicker case cause it to pick up a lot of dings? (I have a 15300 and I've managed to keep it nice (but not pristine) over several years but its case it much thinner and I wear it carefully).
3. Do you find yourself wearing the Diver a lot, and if so for what circumstances?
4. Do you consider it a keeper in your collection?

Hi, I like your thought questions and I can relate to them well, as. I went through similar. My take: 1. not a problem at all. Wear it for beach vacation quite a bit. 2. this is an issue, because of the edged shape. Like nautilus I found them to be somewh...

... but I now want carbon or ceramic version..... I have never used it in water or the sea, so I can't answer that question. Wearability is good on weekend clothes. Can't fit it in the sleeve of my weekday shirts. And SS version was for my wrist a bit hea...
