... but I now want carbon or ceramic version.....
I have never used it in water or the sea, so I can't answer that question. Wearability is good on weekend clothes. Can't fit it in the sleeve of my weekday shirts. And SS version was for my wrist a bit heavy and thick, so my wrist got tired and sometimes hurt, to be honest. But that may be only me. So, I like the style a lot, but lighter version - ceramic or carbon, both of which are discontinued, unfortunately - would be desirable for me.
But if your wrist is big and joint is strong enough, this one is very good for your collection!

I can't speak to the ocean use question, but the wearability and enjoyment on the wrist are quite nice. The Diver is a very good offering from AP.

I like mine a lot - fit and finish are above any other sports watch at this price point. It's a definite keeper.
My only complaint is accuracy - mine was +20 sec/day right out of the box and now a more decent but not perfect +5 sec/day after I got it regulated.

Since I own this watch for quite a while, I'll try to answer it honestly.
1) Yes, Yes and Yes. You can dive with it. Sand and particles are going to get stuck in the watch esp the layer of rubber between the bezel and the case. It's going to cause blemish on the bezel and it will wears out your watch especially those nicely pol...

Movement too slim and service costs will be huge. Bezel screw at 11 if left open compromises the waterproofness. If the accuracy is +20 sec then No No No for me.
