AP 2011 – personal highlight & surprise ...

Somehow bold, indeed, but with lots of nice details & solutions.

Shades of grey (galvanic parts), different finishing, uncommon placement of the balance wheel, ...
all shown in a new constructed & designed movement.

- A fitting movement for an oval case – cool.

- Not a skeleton, but a look through the movement is possible - cooler.

- The beautiful side of the movement can be seen when wearing the watch
and the dial is part of that beautiful arrangement - coolest.

The (more or less) known dial from the current Millenary family works very well with its black and rose gold contrast,
together with the “anthracite” movement. The case shows different, well chosen, details on top.

Most of you will probably already know what I am talking about,
the new member of the Millenary family:

Reference 15350ST, with caliber 4101 (60hrs power reserve; 28.800)

Dimensions: 47mm x 42mm x 13mm

Looking at the watch, Millenary watch with deadbeat seconds, Millenary No. 5 of the Tradition d'Excellence collection come to my mind.
Both have a beautiful manual movement with AP Escapement and the new one has (only) an automatic movement with a well known rotor,
but this time it is affordable (steel version is close to RO 15202ST) for a wider group of connoisseurs

From the given dimensions I always thought it would be too big for my 6,5” wrist, but this was another positive surprise. It has presence on the wrist, but is a pleasure to wear – even with a shirt.

As much as I like the steel version, I am not confident about the RG version. Especially the bi-colour look of the movement is not convincing me.

Saw the watches in Geneva, at the AP booth, but unfortunately didn´t take any pictures. The watch itself and the great conversation I had caught all my attention J

Can´t wait to see and handle it again, when it arrives at the shops …

I did not pay much attention to this in SIHH but surely need to take a closer look. AP with the huge amount of ROO models has not opened to me (yet) but now it's high time to try to find the secrets of this Brand. Best, Kari

I am not surprised at all! Delighted though, about AP bringing the "look" of the high end complicated Millenaries to this reasonably priced novelty. I'm afraid there have not been too many tempting options to choose from within the line for most, but now ...

Here are two wristshots of my Maserati LE, which has the same case dimensions. My wrist is 6.75", and the Millenary case is a delight to wear. Very comfortable....
