A groundbreaking watch for AP
It builds on their great 40 year legacy of the thin QP module. I don't know if a huge premium is worth it in the long run but this is not a rational hobby. Perhaps wait to see what AP does next year, will they tap into the big demand and release a version 2.0? Hypothetically, I would use less funds to look for the RO QP skeleton made in the mid-90s. Those references are still extraordinarily beautiful looking and relatively scarce too.

Do you mean 35 K above the recommended retail price?
Without a doubt a great material for this design except the colour black IMO. In grey it would be great but I am not sure if I would pay 35 K above the RRP.

But do You know if any one had a similar experience like this ? I mean does it pay off over time ( I do not mean by any mean on the joy scale ) to pay that much of a premium over retail ?
Can't wait for chronograph version with updated movement
Maybe by 2019. I have determined that this is the most satisfying watch shape for my aesthetics. Waiting for new movement before by another chrono. I want to add a rose gold and ceramic, and maybe another steel.

I believe I prefer the steel model myself, but any bracelet Royal Oak executed in full ceramic is going to be hot.
AP could have done without the week indicator.
...to me it clutters the dial and is a fairly obscure complication. I also see it as a sweep second hand when looking at a glance.
