Hello everyone,, I have been reading posts and learning from all of you ,, I would like to share a thought with you about the AP perpetual calendar in ceramic , what are your thoughts? ...  

If I'd be into perpetual calendars, I'd try to get one of these. Luckily, I don't like having PCs.

My overarching thought on this watch is that ceramic is nearly the ideal material for the RO, given the complex forms and surfaces that can otherwise scratch and the crisp edges that can otherwise dull with time and wear. I think it's a great material to ... 

I have asked an AD about it , apparently it is a boutique only piece ,, when I called boutique was told it is sold out ,, they only made 100 piece ,, wait list is only for long time customers ,, then another AD called me back , he has the watch but there ... 

Without a doubt a great material for this design except the colour black IMO. In grey it would be great but I am not sure if I would pay 35 K above the RRP.

It builds on their great 40 year legacy of the thin QP module. I don't know if a huge premium is worth it in the long run but this is not a rational hobby. Perhaps wait to see what AP does next year, will they tap into the big demand and release a version...

But do You know if any one had a similar experience like this ? I mean does it pay off over time ( I do not mean by any mean on the joy scale ) to pay that much of a premium over retail ?

Maybe by 2019. I have determined that this is the most satisfying watch shape for my aesthetics. Waiting for new movement before by another chrono. I want to add a rose gold and ceramic, and maybe another steel.

Saw the watch in gold. With all my love to AP I presume the watch is not consistent and thought-over. 1) The movement is a gorgeous 2120. But it is modular and very fragile. It has 5 pushers for adjustments. For comparison JLC Master ultra thin with perpe...

I believe I prefer the steel model myself, but any bracelet Royal Oak executed in full ceramic is going to be hot.

...to me it clutters the dial and is a fairly obscure complication. I also see it as a sweep second hand when looking at a glance.
