My dear Count your explanation benumbs me.

A practical example from you would be more than welcome.
I happen to be wearing my DS right now, using all of its functions on an unregular but often daily basis.
Such things like taking 4 different eyedrops totaling 11 times per day with 15 minutes delay between them and then cooking spaghetti al dente to 7 3/4 minutes. Those are just some of life*s little concerns. My life, I must admit.
This coming week I will pick up my Triple Split, ordered on a waiting list from my AD about 2 1/2 years ago.
I had almost given up hope of getting one - or my present ability to pay for it.
The "Double Totaliser" as I call it (12 Hours) will be a boon, since the 30 minute on the Double Split constrains my field of activity.
Still I will be using the Double Split - and other chronographs - for immensely practical everyday purposes.
Tool watches? Why not, albeit in an exalted category of "made to be used".
So much for the horological writers who consider the Triple Splits as a n utterly useless piece of gear and then go on to praise perpetuals, repeaters and all the rest.
There may be some confusion between the chronograph hands (blue or black) for the minutes) and the rattrapant hands (golden) at least that was the way for me at the very beginning.
Best wishes and keep on keeping tim

This is the coolest hand arrangement I have ever seen on this piece... or any piece come to think of it. Setting the watch to 6 o’clock actually makes more sense than the 10:08 when you have the rattrapante doing the reverse 10:08 on the Southern Hemisphe...
Thanks buddy!

Good to hear that you are using your DS still in a daily basis and make sie of it. Regarding the comment about the new TS being unnecessary: only a person who has no idea or imagination for a practical use for a TS can think so. I am sure you will use and...

DS is the more esthetically pleasing. The edges of the pushers are very smooth and rounded. Roman numerals, like them or not, contribute to this glorious piece. Platinum for me has a comforting feel as well as comfortable when balanced by the strap or bra...
I agree: easthetically the DS is winning

I can also imagine that knowing each hand can be quite tricky with such complex watches 😀. Good to see that you are already on the job to explore your fantastic Tripple Split.
Trying to upload pictures - first time in twenty years!

These were snapped by a friend who accompanied me to the AD. Main point of interest is the Double Split - side by side, back and front - right next to the Triple Split. Both of them are mine. If this does not work out technically, I will send a PM. ...
Finally it is there; Big congrats to this catch!
