I highly respect this brand but have never owned one. However if I would have payed more attention to the three you had I probably would have chased one down. Those are amazing! :-)
Lange is a brand which made me dream since my early days in collecting watches. I could score some, such as the Datograph: The 1815 Moon Phase Emil Lange: And the Langematik Anniversary. That was my " happy threesome " before the Datograph and the 1815 Mo...
You are picking some of the nicest Langes and tempting people with them by your photography skills! My reality and my wish list are pretty well aligned right now. There are certain other Lange pieces that I might like to own (such as that Cabaret Darth yo...
I currently have this Annual Calendar in white gold. In addition I have this Striking Time. And I’m afraid to say I have your WG Richard Lange Jumping Seconds inbound while I’m writing this - just waiting on shipping clearance. ...
Lange dials are so interesting and attractive. They are enjoyable viewing their dials and their movements with similar pleasure. Keep enjoying and loving them so much! Hagwe! Abel
Just the ZW for me ... this is the ONLY Lange that gave me sleepless nights for many years! I do like the concept of Lange 31 ... you need a separate key to wind it --- how cool is that!!! Although, I don't like the current dial layout so much ... hopeful...
Jumping seconds is very underrated. This and Zeitwerk for me are the most interesting Lange designs by far. Lange could take more risks and push further with new concepts. They have the ability, but maybe they think it doesn't make business sense?
The first 1815s were the smaller 36mm version. These versions in special teardowns of the movement showed that these Lange watches did not have finished backsides on the movement. In other word, Lange cheated, heavily, by not finishing many parts of the m...
Thanks for explaining.. Well between the 38 vs 40.. definitely 40 for me as the former moved the outer ring which was used to house the “made in Germany” print.. i think this had the effect of making the dial seem bigger
Is this a typo? Do you mean the Langematik Anniversary left …because I know you still have the Emil. “ That was my " happy threesome " before the Datograph and the 1815 Moonphase Emil Lange left my collection... ”
An amazing point to be in any collectors journey, especially after the anniversary! At one point I had quite a few “Langes of my dreams.” I gave them all up but the Datograph. I struggled with the large/deep case sizes and the sterile aesthetics. Of all o...
There are so many Lange models to love. I'm extremely fortunate to have three. The only other Lange model I want to eventually add is a PLM. Other models I really like are the Little Lange 1 Moon Phase with the aventurine dial and the titanium Odysseus. B...
I know that you have a liking for the Darth, but the Stealth has been a complementary piece. I see on the ALS website that there is a Lange 1 platinum available with size 38.5mm and reference 191.025. However, I believe that the original Stealth had refer...
Cabaret LOG Darth (Platinum , RG) Richard Lange Jumping Seconds Darth or Pt Langematik Anniversary or Moonphase Emil Lange Datograph Gen 1 or Dato Up Down Lumen (gorgeousness of this rattrapante can move me away from chrono addiction and admiration toward...
i would have picked lange1 darth vader but I want something different from black and white. Thus the most different salmon would be Lange 1PC. Another great option would be milky Duometre QL émail.
IMHO Lange is the most idiosyncratic, distinctive and mystifying technically. somewhat like koenigsegg PP is the only other 4 King that is getting more undeniably beautiful yet even more daringly gorgeous lately. ...
Lange chronograph but the 1st gen Dato is too top heavy and the 1815 chrono lacks the date to balance out the subdials So i have to be contented with these 2 for the time being : ...
I think my absolute favorite would be the Datograph Mark I: I would add the 1815 chronograph in white gold with black dial to the list… and also the Lange 1 luminous with black dial. Can’t find the photos, so these wrist shots would have to do for now. I ...
Oh the list is long when we think of dream Lange in my collection. With my existing two, I of course agree with OG Dato as I enjoy the Roman Numeral and upside down triangle this forms. The LP is a fun piece “even though” it is Auto. At least its micro ro...
As for me... I only have one Lange. But it is my dream one. I was able to compare it against it's more popular black dial brother - and the versatility of the rhodié dial + the platinum case won me over, although I cannot deny the beauty of it's sibling.....
But have never sold one either. I've always wanted the Anniversary piece that you had and the automatic version of the original 1815 in platinum. I guess the Zeitwork in WG would be the next one I would purchase. I hated it when the model first came out, ...
A zeitwerk has also been on my list - the orig pt to be specific - though I may ‘settle’ for the new version as I could see the quickset being a nice add… ...
Hi all, I have not posted for a long long time but would like to participate in this. ALS is the first watch brand that I collect, and over the years I have built a small collection in the brand. As you could tell, my taste has been largely influenced by ...
