Having lived with the Zeitwerk...

Living with the original Zeitwerk, I have to say, it's a really cool watch. But there are some flaws...
1. It's huge for a dress watch. And thick!
2. It's really hard to wind, the crown is downright very painful to wind as the mainspring is a thick gauge wire that is extremely difficult to wind when it is full.
3. It's heavy, and the watch has to be worn tight on the wrist to prevent flopping about, which gets a little tight in the afternoon during the warmest part of the day. Or if you go for a strenuous walk and get your body temperature up (your wrist swells after some physical activity).
4. Watch doesn't fit under French-cuffed shirts.
5. Power reserve is painfully short, only around 35 hours.
The watch is AWESOME, but you end up using it more like a grumpy exotic car with a heavy clutch, poor air conditioning, and difficult ergonomics. It becomes a watch that isn't a pleasure to wear, more of something you wear to show your watch friends how cool it is. But not something you wear for yourself that much. A modern car is really easy to drive every day. A vintage Lamborghini Murcielago, Diablo, or Countach is a special work of art that's difficult to drive, but a special experience whenever you do, and a delight to others!
Things with the new watch:
1. That date wheel... Might not be to everyone's tastes.
2. That 72 hour power reserve is a definite improvement!
3. Still hard to wind towards the end of the power reserve.
4. Still heavy.
5. Movement side of this latest version is less beautiful than the original version.
