WristScan theme: Watches + Cars

By: AndrewD : May 22nd, 2014-09:10
Timerider (Tim) inspired this weeks theme. Watches and cars are a " name="" target="">favourite combination on PuristS. So share with everyone the watch that best compliments your car. It might be a matching watch (a JLC Amvox?), a racing theme (a Heuer ...

So . . .

By: Dr No : May 22nd, 2014-10:27
. . . true. You can see the car, but not the Karrée? Better? "Ready for my close-up, CB!" There's something oddly congruous about a Karrée perpetual calendar sitting atop a Holley 4500 carb. Original '50 Merc . . . . . . mid-way thru the renovation proces...

Two grey Glashüttes this week! . . .

By: Dr No : May 23rd, 2014-11:25
. . . that's a first, no doubt about it. Thanks much for sharing your PanoInverse with us . . .

Absolutely adore this Karré.. From shape to dial, from hands to cals.. :)

By: hs111 : May 23rd, 2014-03:44
BTW: what's the amount of PS this special vehicle is developing ? Must be a bonus, that a family member leads/ does the restauration , ehh ? - Also love the color of the car - Splendid ! Thx for this cool share ! Best, hs PS: - on your first pic , I could...

My guess is ~ 400+ hp . . .

By: Dr No : May 23rd, 2014-04:35
. . . and I'll check with Warren later to confirm. And yes, having him in the family will come in handy some day - I'd love to have a '60s Dodge or Plymouth again.

WOW !.. That's already a power horse.. Of course ..

By: hs111 : May 23rd, 2014-04:40
.. the ratio between total weight and hp will play a role and he another index, I heard.. Thank you for the prompt & kind answer ! Best, also for this upcoming WE ! hs

I overestimated, h - it's a 'normal' Chevy 350 c i engine . . .

By: Dr No : May 23rd, 2014-16:38
. . . rated at 300 hp, with a mild cam, aluminum intake, and Holley 4500 carb. It hasn't been tested on a dynamometer, but Warren's guess is roughly 10% more horsepower than stock, putting it at around 330 hp.

I might have more pics on Tuesday . . .

By: Dr No : May 24th, 2014-16:39
. . . of another rod Warren's working on - check in our Automotive forum then!

Hmmm...I just realized...

Bike week over here ...

By: bimbeano : May 22nd, 2014-14:15
I just realize i haven't taken a descent WS with cars in ages ... and since i've been riding Ducati's all week my theme will be 'Watches + Bikes' :-) Ducati Monster 1100S + LLD .... Errrrr ... don't tell my wife, but a real biker should have at least one ...

One beer is acceptable ..

By: bimbeano : May 23rd, 2014-09:36
Not my bike(s) this week, just some test work for a friend. Lightens his job and i get free rides :-) ... as long as there are no blue lights in the neighborhood ;-) Bim

The truth is, one beer tastes amazing after a ride.

By: CaliforniaJed : May 23rd, 2014-23:56
Two beers, though, and you're asking for trouble. Nice bike, Bim. And of course, the Legend Diver is fantastic. Best, CaliforniaJed

to hit Mach 5 but more likely "just" 5,000 HP. :-) For rider on the trunk, its horsepower comes from a 4130 calibre. Aloha, Bob
