The WS for the 17th of January - ‘No Sports’ - is live
By: KMII : January 17th, 2020-08:01
As announced, the theme of this week’s WS will be ‘No Sports’. As the watch industry is tirelessly churning out sports and tool watches and promoting them equally strongly, the now less popular relatives, which apart from gracing the wrist and telling the...

I thought you were and it was meant as a teasing comment. Please ignore me.
Oh, I had not forgotten!! 😀
By: NickO : January 17th, 2020-10:13
This should work out perfectly: MSC Cruises came back to Mrs. NickO in late December and put the project she’s discussing with them on hold until the summer, as they are having some internal issues right now integrating their newly acquired offices. Appar...

Is that the longest of the three seconds hands needs to disappear into the case when it’s off cycle 👌🏻
Wow Ádám!
By: KMII : January 17th, 2020-22:55
You have certainly grown your collection since we last saw each other 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 The Pano, Breguet and JLC certainly seem recent - and you are right, the topic is not at all difficult for you 😊
Thank you
By: Speedie74 aka Mr. Torquise : January 18th, 2020-09:22
for the music, my Friend! Well, the Jlc Master Moon and the Breguet is new, also the GO 1845 Zeigerdatum. My small collection grows nowadays with sporty watches, according to the trend...

I get the watch from my Mom for my 40th birthday! It is very important to me - as my Mom!
Sharp, Captain!
By: KMII : January 17th, 2020-22:58
Not been here as much lately as I would like but the RD I do not think I have seen yet. Very interesting 👌🏻
Thank you KMII....
By: Cpt Scarlet : January 18th, 2020-03:25
Its great to have you “hosting & posting” ... My RD is cherished piece as it was a gift from Mrs Cpt Scarlet some years ago. I love the numerals on the dial and the grand style. Not an everyday watch, but that’s the point. Kind regards The Captain ...
Two beautiful pieces captain!

i have long admired vintage longines and yours choices are excellent ! wear them in great health !
Wowie zowie, KM!
By: TheMadDruid : January 17th, 2020-12:04
Some beauties. I forgot some and didn’t know about others. The VC is in a very small class of magnificent oldies.
Thanks a lot, Padj!
By: KMII : January 17th, 2020-23:04
My current work is making it hard to be here more often 🤷🏻♂️ As for the VC, I find it one of their best recent offerings and was super chuffed that I got it last year. The FM was the penultimate addition last year and adds a bit of fun 😉
Hi, K! Haven’t seen you in a while.
By: TheMadDruid : January 17th, 2020-12:18
Here are a few for your WS. Not only sports-averse; I wouldn’t wear them if I was mincing garlic. You can speculate all you want about why I might need garlic. ...
Side dish to the salsiccia? 😉
By: KMII : January 17th, 2020-23:08
Or to keep the Vlad away from flying off with your watches? Some superb shots you have there! Didn’t know you had a Casablanca and that Grönefeld is recent, too, right? How are you doing otherwise?

A Felix, and then we got wedding anniversary watches made by them - an Erwin for the better half and a deadbeat seconds foudroyante for me 😊 The Felix is in my opening post here, the other two below: ...
3 amazing pieces. May I ask...
By: Brandon Skinner : January 18th, 2020-13:24
What is the significance of the stylized red hashes at the 11 o’clock? I have my guesses but I’d love to hear the actual reason. I too would love a jumping seconds foudroyante!
11th wedding anniversary 😉
By: KMII : January 18th, 2020-23:07
My foudroyante is the first watch of its kind in their new case design 👍🏻
beautifully shot !👍
By: Seeks : January 19th, 2020-01:19
after looking at your photos and KMII’s, in need to investigate deeper into these watches thank you
With a selection like yours...
By: KMII : January 17th, 2020-23:13
It’s hard to choose a favorite. Although I have to say the VH is probably closest to my heart 😍
Two very significant horological advancements...that look great too.
By: Franksc7 : January 17th, 2020-20:29
Great theme this week and I think I may have a couple “winners” for consideration. First is the Bulova Accutron Astronaut () with the iconic 214 “tuning fork” battery operated movement. This 14k beauty with enhanced dial (applied markers) and “fork second...

Terrific group...
By: pplater : January 18th, 2020-21:15

[ ca '42 Ω Marine II ref 3635 / cal T17] . . . was a sports watch. Today, it's anything . . . . . . but. ;-) ...
The Marine II was a waterproof design . . .

If you look at the early dive watches, they could almost pass as black tie nowadays 😉 Fantastic piece 👌🏻
Marine II's aren't all that hard to find . . .
By: Dr No : January 19th, 2020-11:00
. . . but this dial variation is rare. If I find another, I'll let you know - it would be a grand addition to your collection. All's well here, Abel - relaxing at home with my folks the last few days. Hope all's well with you and your family. Best, Art
The first Omega Marine is fairly well known . . .
