Mont Blanc has A LOT of work to do IMO

Mont Blanc cannot expect to gain recognition right away in the already so crowded high priced watch category.  The only way for Mont Blanc to garner more interest from the PuristS community or any other watch community out there is to get their watches on people's wrists.  If that doesn't happen, it must mean that what they see as their own perception of how they value their brand is not on par with the consumer's view of the brand.  Does this means the price probably might not be a "good value" in relation to what you get on your wrist, so maybe they have priced themselves out of their intended market?

The reason why there aren't many replies to SJX's post here is because there are so few community members who actually own a Mont Blanc watch.  People tend to post replies to threads they have something in common with or can contribute something that adds to the thread.  And I don't think there's much of that right now since I haven't read any post here saying "I love my new Mont Blanc watch!"  I personally don't know anyone who has one of these new Mont Blanc Villeret 1858 watches. 

I also found it offensive that you wrote "seems like forummers are more interested in showing off what they are wearing on their wrist this weekend" because that totally goes against what makes the PuristS community so great and so special.  If you really feel this way Harry, the only thing I can do is shake my head in disbelief

And yes, you did spend time to take these pictures and process them so it would great to have people thank you for it.  I do know where u're coming from and why you're a little disappointed in the lack of replies to this thread cause I also know how much work it takes since I've recently been doing the same thing whenever we have PuristS events here in LA.  It's a lot of work and takes a lot more time than people really think it does, and thanks for the pictures Harry and the write-up SJX. 

And back to the main point, Mont Blanc has a lot more work to do if they want more people to get interested in their watches.  PuristS moderator AndrewH did a write-up of the Mont Blanc event in London (click here for the write-up) and didn't garner that much interest as well even though it was a superb write-up.
